Accessibility

Accessibility statement
Ruhr-Universität Bochum is committed to providing barrier-free access to its website https://www.ruhr-uni-bochum.de/, in accordance with national legislation for the implementation of Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and the Council on the accessibility of the websites and mobile applications of public sector bodies.

This accessibility statement applies to the website of Ruhr-Universität Bochum, which can be accessed via https://www.ruhr-uni-bochum.de/.

Compliance with the requirements
Currently, this website is partially compliant with the Federal and State Disability Equality Act (BGG & LGG), the Barrier-Free Information Technology Ordinance (BITV) and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0.

We currently have our website independently audited by third parties in accordance with BITV and WCAG 2.0.

As soon as we have the audit results, we will publish them here.

Rationale
Ruhr-University Bochum has an extensive web presence of several thousand websites. The majority of the pages were published before 23 September 2018. However, due to the disproportionate burden imposed by federal and state equality laws, the site is not yet completely accessible. The technical implementation will be carried out successively.

Feedback and contact details
Ruhr-Universität Bochum is committed to eliminating the existing barriers.
